Posters for shop
These are some of the posters i designed to be sold within the shop and put in the zine to help bulk up some of the promotional material we have.
No.Zine
Sarah posted a link to this site and wow. The majority of zines I came across were all very illustration based, not really placed on a grid and just generelly pretty mental on each page. I dont mind this but i'm a very process and structured designer. No.Zine's is like an amazing intermediate for all these zenes i found, each page is different but it follows a set of structures, rules and you can clearly see that there has been a lot of type considerations done for it.
Issue 1
Living Wages
This is an estimate of my living wages for what i need to ear to keep afloat for the year, we decided as a group that it would be best to bring down total costs if we all got a part time job for the first year so i will be working at a local printers while working as a retail assistant/designer within the BookKlub shop.
Natwest Online business Plan
I started off the business plan to the point where we just needed finance to be added into it the general over view of it was nicely broken down by natwest' online business plan.

Competitors
Salford Zine Library
Publishes a wide range of printed products, based in Leeds and shares the same range of customers and Book Klub. As a company Salford Zine do not have their own printing facility so they would be dependant on a outside printers.
Village (Zines)
This is a company which specialises in selling independent art books and zines from designers. They would have the same type of creative audience as Book Klub but they do not sell a wide range of printed products they specialise only in Zines and Books.
